Hi there! I’ve been writing quite a lot lately, haven’t I? Don’t mind me. I’m just taking advantage of having this motivation to write, as when it’s gone, I’m sure I’ll be on hiatus again for months.
Anyway, we spent the last day of UAE’s 3-day national holiday having dinner at P.F. Chang’s because someone craved for Chinese food. Chang’s isn’t really our go-to Chinese restaurant because it’s more expensive than normal, but why not? We thought we deserve it naman knowing how stressful November is for us.
(Here we go again with the “I deserve it” excuse whenever we’re spending too much. lol)
AMBIANCE
It’s lovely! Upon entering, you will notice that the place only has dimmed lights which made the ambiance feel very intimate and romantic.
FOOD
We ordered the famous Dynamite Shrimp for appetizer which is a crispy, deep-fried shrimp lightly coated in mayonnaise and Sriracha concoction.

I honestly have high expectations on this one after hearing reviews about it, add the statement on their menu that says, “often imitated, never duplicated,” and yes! It did not disappoint me.
The flavor’s really good – not that spicy and saucy compared to other Dynamite Shrimps we have tried – and the “special sauce” Kim, our waiter, gave us was a perfect complimentary to it. We ordered regular but wished that we got the grande one by the end of our meal.
For the main course, we ordered Kung Pao Chicken and Chang’s Vegetable Fried Rice.

Kung Pao Chicken is always a classic for me. Obviously, I’m also playing safe with the menu, since I don’t want to try something expensive that I don’t know if I’m gonna end up liking or not. Gets? (I know I’m not the only one on this!) So far, so good, Kung Pao Chicken always tastes amazing whenever I eat at any Chinese Restau; that’s why I ordered this one.
It has chicken, mixed with peanuts, green onion, and red chili peppers tossed in their signature Kung Pao Sauce. We were told that it would be spicy, but for some reason, I did not feel any spicy kick to it. It’s still really good, though! The chicken was not overcooked and I’ve always liked the taste of peanuts with it. It is also served with a cup of white or brown rice.
The Chang’s Fried Rice was a great compliment for the Kung Pao, too, and I really enjoyed having both of them together.

SERVICE
We were served by Kim, who is one of the nicest staff we have ever encountered. He answered all of our questions patiently and helped us decide which food to order. The other employees were very attentive and accommodating, too.
Overall, my experience with P.F. Chang’s was amazing and I’d totally go back for the Dynamite Shrimp. :D
What about you? Have you been to P.F. Chang’s? Any recommendations on our next visit?
Love, Amielle

There are a few of these restaurants near me! I actually never knew it was so fancy inside lol, I thought it was an Americanized Chinese spot but, maybe I’ll have to try it now! That Dynamite shrimp looks awesome!

I live near a P.F. Chang’s and I love going! Their Mongolian Potstickers are a must-try. I’ve never had Dynamite Shrimp from there, but I may have to give it a try now! I’ve wanted to try the Kung Pao Chicken, but I love noodles too much to stray and trying a rice dish.
